Katie's End of the Year!

Katie had a big end of the school year.  She was a jellyfish in the High School musical "The Little Mermaid".

Addie enjoyed the show too!

She had her end of the year choir performance.  Her and Emmaline sang a duet "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".  I am partial, but it was really good.  It made me cry as well as others in the audience.

I went on her field trip.  We visited the State Museum and the capital building.  It was a great day to spend with Katie and her friends.

She got her braces off.  That was a great day!

Any finally....the last day of school!

What a change from the beginning of the year..

Katie has grown up so much this year.  I can't believe she will be a big main on campus next year as a 5th grader!!

Addie's Preschool Graduation

Addie finished her last year at preschool.  She has been going to Geetingsville since January 2013.  She will be a big girl in Kindergarten in August.  Grandma Judi, Grandma Debbie, Grandpa Jim, Lucy and Shari all came to watch her ceremony.  It was very cute!

Addie and Claire...they will be a pair next year!

Blue Angels Pictures - March 2015

Katie took some pictures during the Blue Angels practice while we were in Florida.  She just took them with Jason's smart phone, but it did this weird double exposure look.  I thought I would post a few for memories...

Lucy's First Haircut 05-26-2015

I was watching TV with Jason one evening and Lucy was playing.  I messed with her hair and noticed that it was cut!  It looked like someone just trimmed her bangs.  I know bangs-in-the-eye annoyed both Grandma Debbie and Grandma Judi, and she had just gotten back from seeing her grandmas.  I thought perhaps someone had trimmed it. We checked with the grandmas and no haircut.  I thought it seemed odd they would not mention it.  Now, I started getting a little emotional because it was her first haircut.  Next I went to her sisters....nope.   After a day or two and some long discussions about telling the truth, Addie finally confessed.  At that point, I was glad that she had not whacked off a huge chunk to her skull.  I am counting that haircut as a sisterly mishap.  Below are pictures from her real first haircut at my friend Marian's home.  Lucy was so good.  She enjoyed the whole thing!

Addie's Special Day 04-28-2015

Due to my contract a work, I have to take so many unpaid weeks off per year.  I ended having to take a week off at the end of April.  I thought it would be nice for just Addie and I to have a day together.  Katie was a school and I took Lucy to Shari's.  Here are some pictures from our special day.

First we ran a few errands then went to the mall.  Addie got a haircut, then we bought a new dress for her, and finally did the "bouncy things".

Then we headed to Columbia Park Zoo.

And finished the day with ice cream at Culver's.  Addie wanted chocolate chip mint, so I had them mix Creme De Mint and chips.  I told her I used to love Creme De Mint on my ice cream and my Grandma Fincher always kept some at her house for me.  Addie wanted to know why I liked creamed cement on my ice cream?

It was a great day with Addie.  The girls are all growing up so fast, so it's nice to spend a little time with each one.
